LG continues their dominance of the television market with the release of the LG B6 OLED 4K Smart TV. With their OLED technology, LG continues to produce TVs with excellent picture quality and other features that come together in a great package. I found this out for myself when I looked at the new B6 OLED television.

I don’t completely understand the science behind their new OLED technology, but thankfully I don’t have to. All I know is the first time I turned this TV on and saw the picture, I knew it was the TV for me.

To explain it a little bit, though…one way LG is able to get such a good picture is how they control the pixels. Basically, each of the eight million pixels can be individually controlled. By doing this, the television can perfectly balance the picture. Another feature I really like is the way the LG B6 balances dark and bright scenes, without losing any detail from one or the other. It doesn’t matter if the scene has direct sunlight or really dark shadows, I could still pick out the tiniest of details.

LG also boasts of something they call “infinite contrast”, which is also achieved through the way the TV controls each pixel. The end result, are images that look extremely life like and are incredibly clear and sharp.

I was also blown away with how many colors the TV can display. I expected great images and bright colors since the TV has 4K resolution. After all, resolution four times better than Full HD better be good, right? What I didn’t expect was all the colors. The only other place I’ve seen so many vivid colors is at the movie theater. But now, the movie theater is my living room!

The audio from the TV is also really nice. The LG B6 pumps out 40 watts of audio through a 4 channel speaker system. You get the normal audio features like Dolby Digital, DTS and a surround sound mode. The sound pairs very nicely with the picture to give an awesome viewing experience you need to see to appreciate.

Once I hooked the TV up to my home network, it basically became the center piece of my entire home theater system. Thanks to some cool Smart TV features and LG’s new user interface, webOS 3.0., the TV is very easy to use and control. The Smart TV interface was completely redone to make it more intuitive and a breeze to use.

One thing I really like is how easy it is to switch between different content, such as going from streaming video to live TV. I also like to ability to browse the web, check out my favorite social media apps, and display content from my phone onto the big screen. I can’t wait for family to come visit so I can show off these features!

Another really cool feature is the remote control. Yes, you read that right, I said the remote control. LG calls it a “magic remote” because you don’t even have to hold the remote in your hand to use it. You just use your voice for certain functions and the LG OLED B6 does it. That’s right, this television has voice recognition. Change the channel or the volume, all with your voice. It doesn’t get much cooler than that.

After seeing everything this TV has to offer, I’m convinced it is top-of-the-line. Even though I expected great picture quality because of 4K resolution, I was blown away by how much better the picture is thanks to the OLED technology. The TV also has good audio and some innovative Smart TV functions. Bottom line, this TV needs to get on your “to buy” list, now!

If you decide to make the LG B6 your next OLED TV, you will not be disappointed. The 4K resolution and OLED technology produce vivid pictures that are more lifelike than anything you’ve seen on other TVs. Colors are bright and intense, but not to the point of being distracting. LG also found a way to make even the darkest scenes look great.

You will also really like the Smart TV capability, called webOS 3.0. It was redesigned to be more user friendly, so it is really easy to stream videos or browse the web.

About the only thing this TV doesn’t have is 3D, so don’t expect to have that capability. However, if you want a TV with awesome pictures, great sound, and powerful Smart TV features – the LG B6 should be at the top of your wish list.
